Birthday wishes for MacDonald Mailing

MacDonald Mailing celebrated the first anniversary of joining Orbital Marketing Services Group on Monday 20th September. To mark the anniversary, staff gathered at the Sittingbourne premises for a traditional birthday celebration of tea and cake.

Director and general manager Phillip Moore welcomed special guest, former owner Julian Winding, and thanked all staff for their efforts in making the past year such a success. He then invited Julian to cut the cake and toast the future of the company.

In the twelve months since the acquisition by OMSG, MacDonald have mailed in excess of 80 million packs. This includes the 8.75 million items handled in September alone ­ making it the busiest month in the company’s history.

The highlights of the year include handling the despatch of all 22 million Department of Health E111 forms to Post Offices, work in poly-wrapping the magazines and CD’s/DVD’s found in the Daily Star, News of the World and various other newspapers and handling an additional 25% more volume of Sky Magazine.

In order to attract even more new business to the company, MacDonald’s have recently unveiled their new web-site ( www.macdonaldmailing.co.uk) which has already drawn favourable comments.

With the traditionally busiest period of the year to come, the prospects for MacDonald Mailing look very good!

Congratulations to Philip Moore who has been appointed Director of MacDonald Mailing Ltd. This is in recognition of Philips work at MacDonald since it’s acquisition by Orbital Marketing Services Group a year ago. Philip retains his other role as Orbital’s Director of Corporate Development.
